JORDAN DEAN
FILMMAKER & PHOTOGRAPHER
Focussed on showcasing the small and underappreciated creatures of the planet.
Hi, my name’s Jordan Dean and I’m a freelance wildlife filmmaker and photographer based in Victoria, Australia. I first picked up a camera back in 2015 and have been posting much of my work on YouTube ever since. My channel is dedicated to the creation of informative nature documentaries; which I independently write, narrate, film, and edit.
MY MISSION
Ever since I was a kid, I've always had a deep interest in the natural world, with a subconscious drive to help conserve and restore it. Unfortunately, many people simply neglect the beautiful intricacies of nature. My mission is to change this by showcasing unique natural history stories in an educational, yet engaging way.
9 year old me. I've been fascinated by nature for as long as I can remember.
MY FOCUS
I tend to focus on the overlooked and underappreciated creatures of the planet. I am especially interested in ants, as just like us, they're highly social beings. The way in which they communicate and cooperate with other members of their colony can prove to be an incredibly complex and fascinating process to witness.

AUS ANTS
Back in 2016, my immense passion for ants lead me to co-found Aus Ants, an Australian-based business dedicated to creating quality ant-keeping products and educating people about the importance of ants. Aus Ants is still up and running to this day, visit ausants.net to learn more.
